Where in the world
is Joseph?

The Travelscope crew recently returned from Papua New Guinea where we shot an episode for Season III – slated for release in Spring 2009. A visit to Papua New Guinea is like stepping back in time. We look forward to introducing our viewers to the rich culture and warmth of the Papua New Guinea people.

Chile – The Andes and the Atacama Desert

Two episodes covering Chile have also been included in our production schedule. It’s not “chill-ee” but “chee-lay” as Joseph learned from these ice hikers high in the Andes. They’re shown here teaching Joseph the official Chile chant, “Chee Chee Chee, Lay, Lay, Lay, Viva Chee-Lay!”

Here’s a friend we met in the Atacama Desert. Her name is Macarena and her boyfriend is Ricky Martin – seriously.

Travelscope TV proves that a picture is worth a thousand words.

The experienced Travelscope team travels to all corners of the globe to capture breathtaking footage of the world’s destinations. Built on the success of the 22 years of the award-winning Travelscope radio program, Travelscope TV allows viewers to sample the world from the comfort of their own living room. Hosted by award-winning travel journalist Joseph Rosendo, Travelscope features Joseph’s worldwide explorations from stateside destinations such as Montana’s Glacier National Park and California’s Wine Country to distant locales in Europe, the Philippines and multi-cultural Malaysia. Travelscope provides viewers with cultural insights and the useful information they need to make their travel dreams a reality.

Joseph, whose love of travel and foreign cultures is rooted in his Cuban heritage, has produced and hosted the syndicated Travelscope Radio show for twenty years and may also be heard on Discovery Channel Radio. He feels travel provides the missing link between cultures. “We close each show with a quote from Mark Twain: ‘Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness,’” says Joseph. “It’s a truth that first turned me on to travel and has kept me hooked for more than thirty years.”
